# What is IP paging on a phone system?

 Paging on a phone system is a feature that allows a user to broadcast a voice message to multiple phones or speakers within an organization simultaneously. This is typically used for making announcements or conveying urgent information across a large area, such as an office or a warehouse. Paging systems can be integrated with traditional landline phone systems as well as modern VoIP systems.

You can page through broadcast to multicast devices where the endpoint devices will listen to a master multicast address.
