# How do I configure a Yeastar PRI Gateway with a Grandstream UCM PBX server?

Step 1: Configure the Yeastar PRI Gateway:

- First, set up your physical ISDN PRI connection and establish the SIP relationship with the UCM.
- Configure Digital Ports: Log into the Yeastar gateway web UI.
- Navigate to Gateway \> Digital Trunk.
- Edit your E1/T1 port and enter the specific signaling (usually PRI-CPE), switch type, and channel numbers provided by your telecom carrier.
- Ensure the status light turns green, signifying a live link to the carrier.

Create a VoIP Trunk: Navigate to Gateway \> VoIP Trunk and click Add Trunk.
Trunk Type: Select Peer Trunk.Provider Name: Enter Grandstream\_UCM.Hostname/IP:
Enter the static local IP address of your Grandstream UCM.Port: 5060 (or the corresponding SIP port configured on your UCM).

Step 2: Configure the Grandstream UCM:

- Next, build the matching side of the peer trunk on the Grandstream system.
- Create the Peer SIP Trunk: Log into the Grandstream UCM web GUI. Navigate to Extension/Trunk \> VoIP Trunks and click Create New SIP Trunk.Type: Select Peer SIP Trunk.Provider Name:
- Enter Yeastar\_PRI.Host Name: Enter the static local IP address of your Yeastar PRI gateway.Verify Connectivity: Save and apply changes.
- Navigate to the UCM Dashboard or Trunk Status to verify that the newly created SIP trunk shows an "Available" or "Registered" status.

Step 3: Route Outbound Calls (UCM to Yeastar) to let Grandstream extensions place outgoing calls through the PRI lines, define how the UCM hands calls off to the gateway.UCM Outbound Route:
On the Grandstream UCM, go to Extension/Trunk \> Outbound Routes and click Add.Calling Pattern: Enter your desired matching pattern (e.g., \_9X. if users dial 9 first, or \_X. for direct dialing).

Main Trunk: Select the Yeastar\_PRI peer trunk you created in Step 2.Privilege Level: Ensure the extension permissions match this route's privilege level so users are permitted to dial out.
Yeastar IP to Port Routing: Log back into the Yeastar gateway and navigate to Gateway \> Route Settings \> IP-\>Port (IP to Digital Route).
Call Source: Select the VoIP Peer Trunk pointing to the UCM.Call Destination: Select your physical PRI Digital Trunk.

Step 4: Route Inbound Calls (Yeastar to UCM)To send calls coming from the outside PSTN/PRI lines down into the Grandstream phone system.
Yeastar Port to IP Routing: On the Yeastar gateway, navigate to Gateway \> Route Settings \> Port-\>IP (Digital to IP Route).Call Source:

Select your physical PRI Digital Trunk.Call Destination: Select the VoIP Peer Trunk pointing to the UCM.Hotline (Optional): If you want all incoming digital trunk calls to land on a specific UCM extension or IVR, you can input that target number here as a "Hotline".

Otherwise, leave it to pass the original DID numbers.UCM Inbound Route: On the Grandstream UCM, navigate to Extension/Trunk \> Inbound Routes.
Click Add.Trunk: Select Yeastar\_PRI.DID Pattern: If matching specific numbers, enter them here; otherwise, use \_X. to capture and route all incoming traffic.
Default Destination: Direct the calls to an Extension, IVR, or Ring Group according to your system needs.Save and click Apply Changes on both appliances to activate your live calling pipeline
