How do I configure Fanvil broadcast / multicast?

1. Configure the Sender (Broadcaster)
To initiate a broadcast from a device (e.g., A10W), you must assign a multicast paging function to a Programmable Key (DSS Key).

Access the Web Interface: Log in to the device’s web management page with the default credentials of "admin".

Set the Function Key:
Navigate to Function Key > Function Key.
Select a DSS Key and set the Type to Multicast Paging.
In the Value field, enter the multicast IP and port in the format IP:Port (e.g., 239.255.0.1:2000).
Set a descriptive Name for the paging group.
Choose your preferred Codec (e.g., G.711u/a) and click Apply.

2. Configure the Receiver (Listener)
The receiving device (e.g., A233) must be set to listen for the specific RTP stream you just defined.

Access the Web Interface: Log in to the receiver's web management page with the default credentials of "admin".

Navigate to Multicast Settings:
Go to Phone Settings > MCAST (or Intercom settings > MCAST).

Enter Listening Details:
Host:Port: Input the exact same multicast IP and port used on the sender (e.g., 239.255.0.1:2000).
Name: Enter a matching label for identification.
Index/Priority: Assign a priority level (typically 1–10). A lower number usually indicates a higher priority that can interrupt other calls.

Click Apply to save changes.
